Start with one question: what do you want someone to notice, feel or understand by the end of the guide? That answer gives every chapter a purpose.
Give each chapter one job
Choose a small set of stops or ideas. Write a short title for each and decide what listeners should take away. An introduction can set the scene; the final chapter can offer a moment to reflect.
Write for the ear
Read your script aloud before recording. Use short sentences and clear directions. Leave space for listeners to look around, move between stops or simply take in what they have heard.
Assemble the experience
In Phonation, create a guide, add chapters and upload your audio. Add descriptions and artwork where they help tell the story. If your experience follows a route, you can add a GPX file.
Listen before you share
